An upload job comprises the transfer of files from the local machine to the context of the OpenDXM batch processor and the creation of an export job that is used to send one ore more files to a data exchange partner.
The creation of an export job requires a minimum of user interaction that is mostly restricted to selection from drop down lists. The current user is always used in the export job as the sender.
There are settings in the configuration file of the OpenDXM Supplier Client or the OpenDXM database that may cause certain selections or input fields to be omitted if unique values can be retrieved from the OpenDXM database for the corresponding job attributes.
Once you have entered the information about the receiver of the data, a file selection dialog is displayed that allows you to select the files to be sent.
The "Jobs" application allows you to view the job status and detailed information about the jobs that have been created and transferred to job control. The "Download" application makes the files generated by successfully completed export or import jobs available for transfer.
Note:
The indicator [-select value-] indicates the next field from which you are to select an item from the selection list as the next step in creating an interactive export job. Once you have selected an item from the list by clicking on it, you automatically move on to the next step in the sequence of user-prompted steps.
You may enter up to 210 characters into the field "Message".
Upload menu:
Continue | Completes the data that has been entered or prepared and generates the next selection. |
Clear | Clears all the data selected for the current task and redisplays the form for the creation of a new interactive upload task. |
Discard | Aborts creation of the upload task and returns to the main menu. |
